Carrie
Born in Rochester, Minnesota and radicating in Ventura, California since 2008, Carrie has been in the Aveda family for 20 years. Her career began with education at the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis in 2003, and after graduating she began to work at a high regarded salon, where at the same time continued her education in her natal state. Fast forward to 5 years, when Carrie had the opportunity to move to California to further herself as an Aveda artist.
While cutting and coloring hair has rewarded her with great success, her true passion for hair is fulfilled in doing extreme hair processes such as hair extensions and providing solutions to those with hair loss and alopecia. Now working alongside her fellow co-worker and dear friend Gemma for several years now, she is so ecstatic to call Prisma Salon her forever home as a stylist.

Gemma Owner/Stylist
Born in Caithness, Scotland, Gemma immigrated to Oxnard Ca with her Mother and older sister when she was 10 years old. Gemma always knew that she wanted to do hair from a very young age, and started experimenting with color on herself and her friends.
Gemma went to school locally at Modern Beauty Academy, graduated and started interning at an Aveda salon where she was educated and found a great passion for everything Aveda.
12 years later Gemma finally decided it was time to take all her passion and love that she had for hair and put it into her very own Aveda Salon. With the help and support from her husband they opened Prisma Salon 🖤

Born in Ventura and currently residing in Oxnard. i am a local 2022 graduate of Lu Ross Academy
i have always been drivin towards the creative arts. Beginning with culinary, over time transitioning into photography, and video and film production where i gradually built a true passion for avantgarde makeup looks, fashion hair colors and nails over several years.
now pursuing a career in cosmetology, i am excited to be starting this new journey here at Prisma. Not only assisting, but refining my technique and skill with the Aveda family.
